Setting Full Access To Data Drives

If you ever need to add “Full Access” to a shared folder or drive, follow these steps:

To Resolve:

  1. Select the folder or drive in Windows Explorer – right click – properties.

  2. On the sharing tab – advanced sharing – permissions- highlight everyone and make sure they have full control by checking the boxes.

  3. On the security tab- Add – Everyone – Set full control – select Apply/ OK.

  4. On the security tab- highlight Everyone – advanced – highlight everyone – change permissions- highlight again and make sure to check the box at the bottom that says “replace all child dependencies”. Apply and close.
