Setting Full Access To Data Drives

If you ever need to add “Full Access” to a shared folder or drive, follow these steps:

To Resolve:

  1. Select the folder or drive in Windows Explorer => right click => properties.

  2. On the sharing tab => advanced sharing => permissions- highlight everyone and make sure they have full control by checking the boxes.

  3. On the security tab- Add => Everyone => Set full control => select Apply/ OK.

  4. On the security tab- highlight Everyone => advanced => highlight everyone => change permissions- highlight again and make sure to check the box at the bottom that says “replace all child dependencies”. Apply and close.
